Financial Controller

Job description:

Work with the Group CFO based in London and reporting into the Group Deputy CFO as well as reporting locally (Geneva) to the Managing Directors

Responsible for all aspects of accounting for groups 2 Swiss based entities which are parents of the group.

Monthly:

• Bookkeeping for the Swiss entity and preparation of Management Reporting
• Sales invoice calculations (including manual exceptions) and debtor reconciliations
• Bank account reconciliations
• Month end processes including accruals, prepayments, and variance analysis
• Purchase invoices control & payment
• Maintaining Swiss Fixed Asset register and depreciation bookings
• Cash management
• Liaising with external payroll provider and checking office payroll

Quarterly:

• VAT calculations and filing
• Stamp duty calculation and filing
• Commission calculations and payment process

Annually:

• Preparing the statutory accounts for 2 Swiss entities which are parent entities of the group
• Completing the audit process for the Swiss entity with the external auditor
• Compiling information for Swiss tax calculations

Ongoing:

• Liaising with payroll & insurances companies

Required Profile:

• English and French required, other languages a plus
• Certified accountant (expert comptable)
• Prior experience as a financial controller for wealth or asset manager
• Able to work independently by taking initiatives and being a fair team player
• Enjoy working in a small and demanding environment
• Strong organization skills, multi-tasking capacity and ability to work under pressure
• Highly reliable and accurate with an eye for detail
• High level of confidentiality
• Good command of usual MS Office applications
