Our client, an international company, is looking for a

Sales and Planning Manager

Role :

Reporting to the MC Manager, main responsibility is to ensure the division business management and coordination:

  • Management of a planning and logistic team in close connection with sales field team
  • Market forecasts, bike positioning and launch in order to achieve sales and profit targets
  • Assuring high quality standards and processes to support all division’s stakeholders and partners

The Business planner will support Event - Marketing, Dealer Development and Field team operations to ensure a high level of communication and objective achievement.

Tasks :

Business Strategy :

  • Define with MC Manager short term and mid-term strategy with quantitative and qualitative target setting
  • Participate to retail network development and sales conditions/results
  • Actively drive and contribute to sales planning through optimization of Retail Sales to set accurate sales levels, product orders, franchisees and company stock. Based on marked evolution always focus on rotating PDCA to make sure that we are always competitive, and efficiency oriented for every sales activities
  • Define Sales KPIs, organize their collection and summarization as well as interpretation and countermeasures
  • Ability to turn customers-oriented campaigns into business opportunities
  • Participate to sales events and dealer meetings, define, realize and promote department business vision/philosophy

Profitability :

  • Ensure consistency with business plan guidelines, make best use of people resources to anticipate market and competition trends to predict future business environment
  • Participate to the vehicle sales plan and therefore to financial budget definitions and orientations for short and mid-terms commitment
  • Contribute with MC Manager and related team members to the build-up of countermeasures whether short or mid-term planned

Operations Optimizations :

  • Deploy together with Dealer Development, Sales Manager and Field operations efficient go-to-market strategy
  • Support the Field Force to deliver top quality service to dealer network and achieve their targets, making sure that the priorities are correctly communicated and explained
  • Maintain and further develop reports for internal communication with different level of company hierarchy at international level
  • Follow sales trends, communicate on forecasts and possible Countermeasures
  • Set countermeasures, forecast related spending levels and ensure that activities can be tracked by in-depth result analyses
  • Capability to participate to projects and motivate the teams to convey the efforts required and the result expected.

Skills and Experience :

  • Successful experience within the automotive industry, top priority given to being an enthusiasm for MC industry
  • Expert and successful player in the ENTIRE Swiss Market a must
  • Ability to navigate easily between high level strategical thinking and hands-on operational tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a successful track record of developing and maintaining relationships internally and externally at all levels
  • University degree with specialisation in business or retail network management
  • Fluent in French, German and English
